What inspired the creation of Honor Your Flow?

As a sexual abuse survivor, my menstrual cycle used to be a source of shame and discomfort. I used to view my womb as "defective and worthless" and I had a deep disgust for my blood. Every month, I would experience severe pain physically, mentally, and emotionally, and my menstrual blood became a triggering reminder of my sexual abuse traumas.

In 2015, I began my womb healing journey and I began to discover the beauty and power of my womb and my sacred bleeding time. I learned a lot about how my traumas negatively impacted my beliefs, my womb, and my menstrual cycle.

For the past six years, I've been on a journey of self-healing, discovering new ways to deepen my relationship to my womb and honor my bleeding time as sacred versus shameful. Honor Your Flow was created as a way for me to share, with other girls/women, the beautiful and powerful insights that I've uncovered in my bleeding labors and inspire them to explore new ways to be in relationship with their menstrual cycles. This is my purpose work! And, I deeply believe that my bleeding labors have prepared me for this experience.

Honor Your Flow is for more than just mother-daughter duos.

It's for Godmothers/daughters, Aunties/Nieces, Sisters, Cousins, Besties, etc.
